As AviaNews was told by LEPL Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, various airlines used the Georgian airspace 12,577 times during January-February 2022, which is 47.05% more than the figure observed in January-February 2021, while 46.45% less than in the same period in 2020.

According to statistics, within two months of 2019, 23,315 flights were made in the airspace of Georgia, compared to those 23,486 flights performed in the same period of 2020. During the pre-pandemic period (January-February 2019), the Georgian airspace was used 23,315 times by various airlines.
