In January, 34,404 transit trailers passed through the corridor of Georgia. According to the data of the State Treasury of Georgia, the road usage charging paid to the budget by transit trucks amounted to GEL 12,041,350, which is a 125% increase compared to January 2022. The tax increase in the budget is related to the increased fees on the one hand, and the increased number of trailers on the other hand. 7,662 more trucks used the Georgian highway in 1 month.

• January 2022 - GEL 5 348 455/26 742 transit trailers
It should be noted that last year, the fee for using the road increased from 200 to GEL 350.
According to the data published by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, in 2022, 32.5 million tons of cargo were transported by road through the Georgian corridor, with a total increase of 0.4 million tons.
In 2022, cargo turnover in the Georgian corridor increased by 3 million tons to 47.3 tons. Among them, the amount of international cargo amounted to 27.9 million tons, which is 20.5% more than the amount recorded in 2021 (23.2 million tons).
