
According to Geostat, local exports accounted for 69.9% of total exports without re-exports. This figure increased by 39.1% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 231.5 million USD.
Based on the preliminary data of the National Statistics Office, in January 2022, the share of the ten largest countries in the total local exports of Georgia amounted to 84.9%. The largest export partners in this regard are Bulgaria with 49.5 million USD, Russia - 35.0 million USD and Turkey - 26.2 million USD.
As for commodity groups, copper ores and concentrates ranked first in the top ten of local exports in January with $66.3 million. The share of this commodity group is 28.7% of total domestic exports. Ferroalloys are in the second place with $31.4 million, while the third place is occupied by nitrogen fertilizers with $17.6 million.
