“According to preliminary estimates, in February 2023, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the real gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to 5.8 percent, and the average rate for January-February is 7.1 percent,” - the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT) stated.
In February 2023, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the following sectors made a significant contribution to the economic growth: construction, financial and insurance activities, trade, transport and warehousing.
A downward trend was observed in the sectors of manufacturing industry, real estate, professional, scientific and technical activities.
