In general, the infrastructure projects of The Belt and Road Initiative and the Middle Corridor – a transportation route network connecting China with Europe through the South Caucasus region - are the subject of interest of Chinese companies, Zhou Qian, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, told the journalists, responding to the question about Anaklia Port.

"In case of beneficial conditions, Chinese companies will not have any problem to be involved in the Georgian-based infrastructure projects, including the construction of a deep-sea port in the town of Anaklia in the country’s north-west," - Zhou Qian said.
