
In August 2022, 912,041 international travelers visited Georgia, out of which 742,247 – were for tourism purposes.
According to the data published by the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, totally, 582,995 tourist visits were made in this period, and the number of one-day visits was 159,252.
Accordingly, the number of tourist visits recorded in August of this year exceeds the data of August 2021 by 135.8%, and the data of August 2020 - by 1,586.6%, while the number of visits recorded in August 2019 before the pandemic is 22.6% lower. Consequently, the tourism recovery rate is 77.4%.
It should be noted that in this period the most visitors were from Russia, and compared to last year, in August the most international visitors arrived in the country from Israel.

6. Belarus - 26,486, growth rate - 96.3%;
7. Israel - 24 125, growth rate - 1060.4%;
8. Ukraine - 19,838, growth rate - 32.5%;
9. Kazakhstan - 19,509, growth rate - 59.6%;
10. Azerbaijan - 16,623, growth rate - 48.7%;
11. Iran - 15,244, growth rate - 751.1%;
12. Germany - 8,055, growth rate - 76.4%;
13. Poland - 5,893, growth rate - 15.3%;
