According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), the said change was mainly due to the 1.6% increase in the average monthly nominal salary of the workers hired in the construction sector, which contributed 0.6 percentage points to the total index change.

Compared to February 2022, the construction cost index increased by 10.9%. The increase in the index was mainly caused by the 28.1% increase in the average monthly nominal salary of the construction workers and the 6.2% increase in the price of construction materials, which contributed 6.45 and 3.46 percentage points to the total index change, respectively.
