In April, 122,410 passengers used the airport (April 2019 - 67,530 passengers). In addition to the flow of passengers, in April 2022, the number of flights at the Kutaisi International Airport also approached the historical maximum. In April, flights at the airport increased by 64% or to 359. (April 2019 – 219 flights).
“The Kutaisi International Airport served 375,459 passengers and performed 1,213 flights in four months. The passenger flow increased by 67% compared to 2019, and the number of flights increased by 62%.
At this stage, 5 airlines operate in 28 directions of 17 countries at the Kutaisi International Airport. To be reminded, from June 2023 WIZZ AIR will return the third base aircraft to the Kutaisi International Airport and will start regular flights to Madrid, Brussels, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Poznań. From June 4, 2023, the Kazakh low-budget airline FlyArystan will perform direct regular flights from Almaty to Kutaisi and vice versa", - the United Airports of Georgia stated.
