
According to the data of the first 7 months of 2024, the import volume of printed books, brochures, paper and other printed materials in Georgia increased. Accordingly, the country purchased 924 tons of books for $4 million 638 thousand.
According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), the volume of the imports increased by 10.3%, and the value by 6.5%.
Over the years, the neighboring Turkey has been the largest importer of books for Georgia. According to the January-July import index, half of the purchased goods came from Turkey. The latter also plays an important role in the growth of imports.

Turkey - $2.2 million, 576 tons;
Poland - $648 thousand, 31 tons;
The United Kingdom - $367 thousand, 23 tons;
Iran - $347 thousand, 108 tons;
China - $279 thousand, 72 tons;
Printed books, pamphlets, leaflets and similar materials are imported from Germany, Russia, Belgium, Hong Kong, Israel and other countries in small quantities.
