In the second quarter, Georgia earned more than $1 billion from tourism.
According to the analytical reports of the National Bank of Georgia, the revenues from tourism in April-June exceeded $1.009 billion, which is 34.8% more than the indicator of the second quarter of 2022 - $748.8 million. It should be noted that compared to the pre-pandemic period, the recovery is 115%.
As for the data of 6 months, the revenue from tourism exceeded $1.804 billion. In 2022, this figure was $1.1 billion. As for the indicator of six months of 2019, then the total income of tourism was $1.4 billion, that is, $400 million less compared to January-June 2023.
