
"Positive trends in terms of international trade continued in October of this year as well - export, which is an important factor contributing to the economic growth in the country, increased by 10.4% and its volume exceeds $495 million," - the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Vakhtang Tsintsadze said , while assessing the figures published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT).
Mr. Vakhtang Tsintsadze also emphasized that in the ten months of 2023, exports increased by a total of 12.5% and equaled $5.1 billion. "According to the data of ten months, the trade turnover has increased significantly - by 16.2% and amounts to $17.8 billion. It is expected that in 2023, the volume of exports will exceed $6 billion.
These results once again confirm the importance of business support programs within the policy of the Government of Georgia, which are aimed at increasing and effective use of the export potential in the country, diversifying export markets and improving the competitiveness of the private sector," - Vakhtang Tsintsadze said.
