
In 2023, Georgia’s revenues from tourism reached a record level with $3.3 billion – Georgian Economy Minister
After the end of the government session, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia spoke about the revenues received from tourism.
As Levan Davitashvili explained, according to the data of the first three quarters, the revenues from tourism in the country's economy were recorded at $3.3 billion.
The Minister of Economy hopes that the number of tourist visits to the country will soon return to the pre-pandemic level.
"In terms of revenues, a positive dynamics continue, including the number of visitors. In 2023, totally, we have a 29% increase compared to last year, and this is an encouraging indicator. We think that the year 2023, from the point of view of tourism, will end positively and there will be good conditions for 2024," - Davitashvili said.
