Of this, revenues from exports amounted to $3.6 billion, almost 16% more than the corresponding period in 2022, and imports - to $8.5 billion, which is 19% more than the figure observed in the corresponding period last year.
Georgia’s top three trading partners by exports were formed as follows: Armenia ($495 million), Azerbaijan ($485.3 million) and Russia ($416.2 million).
In 7 months of 2023, exports to Russia increased by 26.2%, and Russia's share in the country's total exports also increased and amounted to 11.6%.
As for importing countries, the top three include: Turkey ($1,420.6 million), Russia ($1,087.5 million) and the USA ($975.3 million).
In January-July 2023, the share of the ten largest trade partner countries in the total foreign trade turnover of Georgia amounted to 68.7%. The largest trade partners of the country are: Turkey (1,687.8 million US dollars), Russia (1,503.7 million US dollars) and the USA (1,023.1 million US dollars).
