
In 11 months 2023, compared to the same period last year, the export volume of chocolate from Georgia increased by 34.5%.
According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in January-November 2023, 1,351 tons (7,352 million USD) of products were exported from the country, compared to 884 tons (3,752 million USD) in 11 months of the previous year.
As for imports, in the reporting period of 2023, 18,850 tons of chocolate worth 76,218 million US dollars were imported, in 11 months of the previous year - 18,031 tons, worth 65,780 million US dollars.
According to the GEOSTAT, Russia is still the leader with 40.7% among the countries the largest amount of chocolate was imported to Georgia from this year:
