Georgia exported 151.4 tons of snails worth 1.2 million USD last year, which is a 79.7% increase compared to 2022. During the reporting period, 44.3 tons of snails worth $263.5 thousand were exported from Georgia.

According to the official data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), snails were exported to France and Italy for the first time in 2022. 

The export market unchanged in 2023 as well. Last year, 150.1 tons of products were sold to France and 1 ton - to Italy.

As for the current year, in January-February 2024, the export market was only Italy. 3.8 tons of snails worth 15.3 thousand US dollars left the country. In the first two months of 2022, 1.2 tons of snails worth $7000.
