At the international exhibition FOOD INGREDIENTS EUROPE ongoing in Paris, France, with the support of the Enterprise Georgia Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the Georgian pavilion is functioning, where seven Georgian companies have presented their products. They are mainly producers of nuts, walnuts, almonds, processed fruits and vegetables and natural juices. The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Irakli Nadareishvili, visited the Georgian pavilion at the prestigious international exhibition.
"The priority of our Ministry is to support local exports. For this, on the instructions of the government, through the Enterprise Georgia Agency, we have developed mechanisms to support exporters, find key markets for them, establish themselves there and, in general, diversify the export geography. Only in 2023, the Enterprise Georgia offers Georgian exporters to participate in 15 major world exhibitions. "We have selected 7 large manufacturers of food ingredients for the Paris exhibition, and we hope that this exhibition will become a basis for them to find new business partners and, accordingly, enter new markets," – the Deputy Minister said.
In addition to promoting the participation in international exhibitions and organizing trade missions, the Ministry and the Enterprise Georgia Agency offer potential exporters to participate in the export stimulation program, which involves providing technical assistance to exporters, including the elimination of export-obstructing factors in beneficiary companies and the introduction of export-stimulating mechanisms. They help diversify export markets, products and services, identify sectors and products with high export potential and encourage international sales. In addition, for several years, the Agency has been training the so-called export managers in potential export companies.
