In 2023, cattle export from Georgia up by 36.7%

According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), the total export of cattle from Georgia in 2023 amounted to $79.4 million, which is 36.7% more than the figure of 2022 ($58 million).
Last year, the largest volume of cattle worth $59.7 million was exported to Iraq from Georgia, followed by Azerbaijan - $19.2 million, Iran - $0.38 million, and Armenia - $0.34 million.
Compared to 2022, the number of exporting countries decreased last year. Jordan and Egypt were excluded from them. In 2022, products worth $1.9 million were sold in Jordan, and $0.68 million in Egypt.
Iraq was the main exporter of cattle from Georgia in the last two years.
