The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili held a working meeting with the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili and his Deputies.
At the working meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed the plans and main priorities to be implemented in 2023. According to their reports, the conversation touched on the dynamics of implementation of Georgia's Development Strategy - Vision 2030.
"The importance of the construction of power plants and the creation of additional capacities was emphasized. It was noted that in 2023, power plants with a capacity of 105 megawatts will be put into operation, which is the largest indicator of the commissioned capacity in recent years. The average annual output of the mentioned power plants will be 473 megawatt hours, and the total amount of investment is $140.7 million. In 2023, it is also planned to announce the auction of 700 megawatts.
At the meeting with the Prime Minister, regional gasification and internetization projects were also discussed. It was mentioned that in 2023, it is planned to implement the necessary works for the gasification of up to 150 villages. According to the plan, more than 26 thousand additional subscribers will have the opportunity to receive natural gas. Approximately GEL 88,000,000 has been allocated for the implementation of the project," - the report says.
