In 2022, the Georgian government is obliged to pay $ 404.3 million. Information about this is given on the page of the National Bank of Georgia. More specifically, the government will have to cover $ 86.2 million in debt in the first quarter of this year, $ 95.7 million - in the second quarter, $ 99.6 million - in the third quarter, and the Georgian government will traditionally have to pay $ 122.8 million in the fourth quarter. The amount of debt to be repaid in GEL at the current average exchange rate is 987.459 million GEL.
We would also like to remind you that according to the data of November 2021, the external debt of the Government of Georgia is 7.386 billion US dollars or 22.8 billion GEL. The government's foreign debt is taken mainly from the Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, as well as the International Development Association and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
