
Georgia's trade turnover in 2022 amounted to $19 billion 042 million, which is 32.8% higher than the last year’s figure. Out of this, the export value amounted to $5 billion 592 million, which is a record figure in the last 10 years. In 2022, the rate of sale of goods from Georgia increased by 31.8% compared to 2021.
According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in 2022, the share of the ten largest export partner countries in the total export of Georgia amounted to 78.6%. In addition, the CIS countries have a 48.2% share in the export, and the EU countries have a 15.4% share, while 49.7% is distributed to the rest of the countries.
Georgia's top three trading partners by exports are: China (736.8 million USD), Azerbaijan (672.6 million USD) and Russia (651.6 million USD).
As for the main export goods, copper ores and concentrates ranked 1st in the top 10 export commodities last year with $1 billion 024 million, which is 18.3% of all exports. The second place is occupied by light vehicles with $903 million (16.2% of the total export), and the third place – by ferroalloys with $458 million (8.2%).
