According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in 2022, Georgia exported wine worth $253 million, which is 5.5% more than the wine export of 2021. In 2022, wine worth $40 billion was exported worldwide. Accordingly, Georgia's share in the global exports was 0.6%.
In 2022, Georgia exported wine to a total of 66 countries. The most – wine worth $161 million was exported to Russia, which is 64% of the total export. Russia is followed by Poland, where Georgian wine $15 million was sold; Ukraine with $14 million, China with $12.5 million, Kazakhstan with $10 million, Belarus with $8 million and the USA with $5.3 million.
