“In 2021, 173 tons of Georgian honey were exported to various markets, including 143 tons were sent to the European countries,” - the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia reports.
"The value of the exported honey totaled 657 thousand US dollars.
The increase in the value of exports, compared to the same period last year, is 436%, and the volume - 696%.
"Export of honey from Georgia to the EU market has been allowed since 2016," - the statement reads.
