
In ten months of the current year, the import of lubricants has increased in Georgia - the Union of Importers of Petroleum Products of Georgia reports.
According to the Union, in January-October 2022, the import of lubricants amounted to 18.03 thousand tons, which is 2.42 thousand tons, that is, 15.5% more than the indicator (15.61 thousand tons) of the same period of the previous year.
During this period, the largest volume of lubricants was imported to Georgia from Turkey - 3.71 thousand tons, which is 20.6% of all imports. Turkey is followed by Iran - 3.32 thousand tons (18.4%); Russia - 1.99 thousand tons (11%); Germany - 1.91 thousand tons (10.6%) and others.
In January-October, 105.4 thousand tons of aviation oil were imported, which is 31.9 thousand tons or 43.4% more compared to the indicator (73.5 thousand tons) of the same period of 2021.
As for importing countries, during this period, 55.4% (58.4 thousand tons) of aviation oil was imported from Turkmenistan, 20.7% (21.8 thousand tons) - from Greece, 16.9% (17.8 thousand tons) – from Turkey, 4.5% (4.8 thousand tons) – from Egypt, 2.5 % (2.6 thousand tons) – from Azerbaijan.
