
“The import of liquefied gas from Russia to Georgia increased by 43.4% in 6 months,”- the Union of Oil Products Importers reproted.
According to the Union of Oil Products Importers, in the months of January-June 2023, the import volume of petroleum bitumen amounted to 54.7 thousand tons, which is 17.1 thousand tons or 45.5% more than the indicator (37.6 thousand tons) of the same period of 2022.
During 6 months of 2023, the largest volume of oil bitumen import was carried out from Russia - 25.5 thousand tons, which is 46.6% of all imports. Russia is followed by Iraq - 15.9 thousand tons (29.1%); Turkey – 11.9 thousand tons (21.7%); Azerbaijan – 1.3 thousand tons (2.4%); Turkmenistan – 0.1 thousand tons (0.2%).
According to the Union of Oil Products Importers, in the months of January-June 2023, the import of liquefied gas (LPG) amounted to 25.24 thousand tons, which is 7.64 thousand tons or 43.4% more than the figure (17.60 thousand tons) of the same period last year.
99.6% (25.13 thousand tons) of liquefied gas (LPG) was imported to Georgia from the Russian Federation during 6 months of 2023.
