In the first four months of 2024, 263 tons of ice cream worth $1 million 424 thousand entered the country. According to official statistics, ice cream imports increased by 11.8% in value compared to the same period last year, but decreased by 2.7%, which means that the price of ice cream in the international market has increased.
It should be noted that the import volume of ice cream from the main importing countries - Turkey and Russia - has decreased, while the import of goods from Ukraine has increased. In total, Georgia bought ice cream from 11 countries in January-April of this year.

Turkey - $437.2 thousand, 85.57 tons;
Ukraine - $418.7 thousand, 94.29 tons;
France - $142.8 thousand, 20.08 tons;
United Kingdom - $117.9 thousand, 6.7 tons;
Russia - $91.8 thousand, 18.2 tons.
As for export, during the same period of last year, no ice cream was sold in the international market from Georgia, and in March of this year, 2.25 tons of the product worth $29,280 thousand was exported to Armenia.
