“I want to address the Georgian people, help our parliament to save you. In such a situation, of course, we expect more solidarity, more sanctions and more support,” the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said on PalitraNews.
According to Petro Poroshenko, the attack on Ukraine is an attack on Georgia.
"I thank the Georgian people for their support. I thanked the Georgian politicians who are helping us in this very difficult situation, including in international forums at the United Nations.
Thank you for receiving Ukrainian refugees, we appreciate this hospitality and it is the most important thing in this situation. This demonstrates that we support each other. When Russia attacked Georgia in 2008, we handed over some weapons to Georgia, missiles, etc. In such a situation we must maintain unity. What is this unity? Policy in the area of sanctions. In addition, mutual understanding and realization of the fact that an attack on Ukraine is an attack on Georgia. Georgia should take back “South Ossetia” and Abkhazia, everyone understands this," - Petro Poroshenko said.
