The Senator says that this type of tactic, which we have already seen, indicates Russia's strong will to spread its malign influence throughout Eastern Europe and specifically to hinder Georgia from achieving its democratic and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

“I call on Georgian legislators to strongly oppose the spread of this dangerous disinformation by those who want to undermine democracy in Georgia and endanger the creation of a more just and equal future for the Georgian people”, the Senator said, adding that the United States remains committed to supporting its democratic partners.
