
The Exhibition Director of ITB Berlin, Deborah Rothe, a major international tourism fair that launching in the German capital on Monday, told Agenda.ge the show was putting the “spotlight” on Georgia through its Host Country status.
“It is a great honor for Georgia to be represented at the 2023 Berlin International Tourism Exhibition through its Host Country status, which is once again a recognition that tourism is indeed one of the main priorities of Georgia,” - the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili told the media.
"Located between Europe and Asia, Georgia has diverse cultural aspects, while maintaining its own identity. In recent years, Georgia has taken important steps in the direction of economic reform and economic development. As a dynamic state, it is aimed at building a modern and competitive economy and creating an attractive business environment for both local and foreign investors. We believe that this boundless hospitality is one of the many reasons why many tourists visit our country. All this gives us reasonable motivation to share our culture, traditions, history and uniqueness with the world, which I believe will reach all ITB Berlin participants,” - Davitashvili added.
