More than 4 billion barrels of oil were transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline in 2006-2022. Transit was carried out by 5,250 tankers.
The pipeline delivered more than 200 million barrels of crude oil to world markets in 2021 and about 224.4 million barrels in 2022.
The total length of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline is 1,768 kilometers, out of which 443 kilometers pass through Azerbaijan, 249 kilometers through Georgia, and 1,076 kilometers through Turkey.
The construction of the pipeline started in April 2003, and on May 18, 2005, it was loaded with oil for the first time.
