
In 11 months of 2022, Georgia imported 23,125 tons (40,219 million USD) of oil. As the National Statistics Office of Georgia reported, 86.2% of the product was imported from Russia.
More specifically, in January-November 2022, 19,937 tons (US$ 34,220 million) of products were imported from the mentioned country, and in the same period last year - 26,575 tons (US$ 38,837 million).
As for other major trading partners of Georgia by exports, the list looks like this:
Azerbaijan - 1,752 tons ($ 3,508 million)
Ukraine - 770.1 tons ($1,191 million)
Turkey - 307.9 tons ($628.2 thousand)
Kazakhstan - 306.1 tons ($553.1 thousand)
Armenia - 34.9 tons ($67 thousand)
To be informed, the export tax on sunflower oil from Russia in January, like the previous three months, remains zero, while the tax on sunflower wholemeal has increased almost 23 times at once.
