Export of honey from Georgia has increased. This year honey worth $705 thousand was exported from Georgia - 62% more compared to the same period last year.
Georgia’s main export market is France, which accounts for 45% of exports. In addition, natural honey from Georgia was sold to France at a higher price than to Bulgaria, which ranks second in this regard. In total, 165.4 tons of honey were exported abroad.
