Honey export from Georgia has almost doubled. In January-October 2022, 208.1 tons of honey worth 932.4 thousand US dollars were sold from Georgia. In the same period last year, 136.3 tons of honey cost 492.9 US dollars.
It should be noted that the product was sold mainly to the EU member states. The list of top-10 countries, where Georgia sold the largest amount of honey, is as follows:
1. France - 76.2 tons with the revenue of $ 436.5 thousand
2. Russia - 90.1 tons with the revenue of $ 255, 9 thousand
3. Norway - 21 tons with the revenue of $ 103.1 thousand
4. Israel - 10.2 tons with the revenue of $ 61.6 thousand
5. The United Arab Emirates - 2.2 tons with the revenue of $19.6 thousand
6. Japan - 1.2 tons with the revenue of $ 16.3 thousand
7. Saudi Arabia - 3.9 tons with the revenue of $ 14.9 thousand
8. Armenia - 0.99 tons with the revenue of $ 9.7 thousand
9. Germany - 0.97 tons with the revenue of $ 5.2 thousand
10. Austria - 0.50 tons with the revenue of $ 3.3 thousand
