The National Environmental Agency of Georgia has issued a weather warning for August 21, forecasting widespread short-term rain across most of Western Georgia and parts of the East.

According to the agency, certain areas—particularly mountainous regions in the west—could experience very heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and strong westerly winds.

The agency cautions that the intense rainfall may trigger flash floods on small rivers and could lead to landslides and sandstorm activity in hilly and mountainous areas, with a medium level of danger.
