The National Environmental Agency has issued a weather warning for most regions of Georgia, forecasting rainfall from the afternoon of September 7 through the morning of September 8. The precipitation may be accompanied by heavy downpours, thunderstorms, and hail.

According to the agency, strong winds are also possible in coastal areas.

The warning highlights potential hydrological and geological risks:

Significant rise in river water levels

Flash floods on smaller rivers

Landslides and mudslides in mountainous regions

The danger level is assessed as medium, and residents—especially in high-risk and mountainous areas—are urged to exercise caution.
