Gudauri will host athletes for the World Cup stages in Ski Cross on February 28 and March 1.
A total of 97 competitors from 14 countries—including the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Austria, Chile, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Georgia—will participate in this prestigious event. Davit Tediashvili will represent Georgia in the competition.
The event will be covered by international media and broadcast live on Eurosport. It is organized with the support of the Government of Georgia, the Mountain Trails Agency (MTA) of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, and the Ski Federation.
This competition is held under the auspices of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and marks the second time Georgia has hosted the World Cup stage in ski cross. Last year, Bakuriani hosted the event, receiving high praise from FIS. As a result, both Bakuriani and Gudauri have been included in the permanent FIS competition calendar, a significant recognition of Georgia as a prime mountain tourism destination.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that during the 2024-2025 winter season, Georgia successfully hosted the World Cup stage in mogul skiing, which was also commended by FIS for its infrastructure and organizational excellence.
Following the ski cross competition, the Snowboard Cross World Cup will take place in Gudauri on March 8-9.
