Firefighter Giorgi Lelashvili, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty, was honored with a ceremonial guard of honor during his burial.

The funeral was attended by prominent officials, including Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri, Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ioseb Chelidze, and the Head of the Emergency Situations Management Service, Temur Mgebrishvili. These dignitaries joined numerous executives and personnel from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as firefighters and emergency management professionals, to pay their final respects.

Lelashvili's death occurred during a fire extinguishing operation on Chavchavadze Avenue, where he succumbed to injuries sustained from a wall collapse. His passing highlights the risks faced by emergency responders in the line of duty.
