Household water supply volumes reached 243.4 million cubic metres in 2024, marking a 5.1% increase compared to 2023 (231.5 million cubic metres).
As of December 31, 2024, approximately 2.79 million people—or 75.4% of Georgia's population—were connected to the centralized water supply system. This reflects a 1.5% rise from 2023, when the figure stood at 2.75 million.
The population connected to a wastewater collection system increased by 1% year-on-year, reaching 2.00 million people (54.1%) in 2024, up from 1.98 million in 2023. Meanwhile, the number of residents connected to wastewater treatment facilities rose by 3.9%, growing from 1.52 million in 2023 to 1.58 million in 2024—representing 42.7% of the total population.
