Another European airline has entered the Georgian aviation market. Greek SKY express will perform direct regular flights from Athens to Tbilisi three times a week with Airbus A321 neo aircraft.
In connection with the entry of the new airline into the Georgian aviation market, a reception ceremony was held in the departure hall of the Tbilisi International Airport, which was attended by Irakli Karkashadze, General Director of the Association of Georgian Airports, Tea Zakaradze, General Manager of TAV Georgia, Ioannis Grylos, owner of SKY express airline, representatives of the Civil Aviation Agency and other officials.
SKY express, after Aegean Airlines and Wizz Air, is the third airline that operates direct regular flights between Georgia and Greece. In January-October 2024, a total of 186,782 passengers used Tbilisi and Kutaisi international airports in the direction of Greece and vice versa.
