“The Government of Georgia will ensure transformation of the country into a transit corridor and logistics hub that will make rapid transportation and communication available for businesses on two continents,” - the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili, said.
Levan Davitashvili drew attention to CAREC's new post-pandemic framework document, which envisages green, sustainable and inclusive recovery of the economy.
“It is a framework that allows us to enhance cooperation and productivity across the region through digitisation, innovation and investment. This will allow us to be resilient to future challenges, rebuild trade and become stronger, more connected and more inclusive", - Levan Davitashvili said.
He also told the Conference its strategy document CAREC 2030 was "very ambitious and comprehensive" and covered “all trade and economic areas” outlined in special operational clusters.
The Minister said Georgia supported the goals of CAREC's integrated trade agenda within the strategy, which has been promoted as aiming to help members better integrate into the global economy, strengthen their growth potential and improve the living standards of the region's residents.
