
Giorgi Pangani, a member of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), participated in the General Assembly of the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER).
According to the GNERC, the Heads of energy regulatory commissions of various European countries took part in the Assembly.
According to Giorgi Pangani, the CEER is the largest European energy organization, the observer status of which has been assigned to the GNERC.
The GNERC became an observer of the largest energy organization in 2017. Obtaining this status helps us implement European energy legislation, develop integrated markets, and bring regulatory activities closer to the European standards. In general, the GNERC is actively represented in international energy organizations, and our aspiration is to show even more the indicators of the development of the Georgian regulator with European colleagues, share our experience, including in the direction of overcoming the energy crisis", - Giorgi Pangani stressed.
The 175th General Assembly of the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) was held in Brussels on December 13, where the participants discussed the 2023 work plan, the issues of distribution systems and gas market integration and transparency, received information about he activities carried out by consumer and retail markets and electricity and international relations groups. Along with Semek member Giorgi Fangan, Director of Semek's International Relations Department Mariam Ioseliani attended the assembly.
