On June 11, Globalize hosted a European conference in Paris, bringing together successful Georgians living in Europe and foreign investors interested in the Georgian startups.
The conference was supported by Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency and the Bank of Georgia, with the aim of bringing the Georgian investment, export and startup ideas to the European market and facilitating the finding of the new partners, as well as sharing experiences for the startups planning to expand globally.
The conference covered panel discussions on the topics such as digital transformation, early-stage investment opportunities for startups, prospects of acceleration and rapid growth, legal frameworks for exporting to the European Union, product packaging norms existing in Europe and the world, adaptation of the entertainment industry over time, the popularity of cryptocurrencies against regulators' risks and other interesting issues.
At the panel discussions and presentations, the speakers shared their experiences with the Georgian startups, exporters and conference participants. A number of successful Georgian professionals working in various fields were among the presenters. The participants from Germany, Britain, Switzerland, Malta, France, Georgia, etc., also joined the conference.
12 Georgian startups presented themselves to the international investors and investment groups.
In April, Globalize held a similar conference in Silicon Valley, California. According to the consulting company, by the end of the current year, a series of international conferences will continue, while the respective countries will be announced in the coming days.
