In January-September, Georgia’s foreign trade turnover with the European Union amounted to $2.7 billion, which is 31.9% more than the indicator of the same period of the previous year (2021 Jan-Sep: $2.1 billion).
Georgia’s foreign trade turnover with the European Union made up 20% of the total turnover.
The revenue from the export of goods to the EU countries amounted to $610.4 million (+37.1% Y.Y), and from the import - to $2.1 billion (+30.4% Y.Y).
Top exported products are as follows:
- Copper ores - 121.7 thousand tons worth $297.2 million (48.7% of exports)
- Hazelnuts and other nuts - 9 thousand tons worth $42.5 million
- Passenger cars - 613 units worth $26.2 million
Top imported products are as follows:
1. Oil and oil products - 325.1 thousand tons worth $347.1 million
2. Light vehicles - 18.4 thousand tons worth $173.2 million
3. Medicines - 2.7 thousand tons worth $147.4 million.
