
In 7 months of 2022, Georgia’s trade turnover by sea transportation increased by 820 million US dollars. In particular, according to the data published by the National Statistical Office of Georgia (Geostat), this year, in 7 months, the trade turnover via sea freight among the means of transport amounted to $3.731 billion, in the same period last year - $2.911 billion. In 7 months of 2022, the volume of foreign trade turnover amounted to $10,188 billion.
In addition, in 7 months of this year, the revenue received from export by ferry shipments amounted to $1.444 billion, compared to $1.081 billion in the same period of the previous year.
As for the imports, in January-July 2022, products worth of $2.287 billion were shipped by sea, and in 7 months of 2021 – the revenue totaled $1.830 billion.
