According to investment bank Galt&Taggart, in May, Georgia’s revenues from international tourism reached $304 million, which is 17.6% more than the figure recorded last year. In total, in 5 months of 2023, Georgia's revenue from international tourism amounted to $1.35 billion.
It is not yet known how many tourists visited Georgia during this period, because both the National Tourism Administration of Georgia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia publish tourism statistics on a quarterly basis. Therefore, at the moment, only visitor statistics for the first quarter of 2023 are known.
