Georgia will be presented as the host country at one of the largest tourist exhibitions worldwide, ITB Berlin 2023.
The National Tourism Administration of Georgia along with the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara, the Tbilisi City Hall, tourist associations, destination management organizations, 44 tour operators and 23 hotels is represented at the Berlin tourist exhibition. Ia Gedevanishvili, a representative of the Check-in Travel company, talked about the importance of the exhibition for the private sector.
"We have prepared everything for the Berlin tourist exhibition. This is a very important exhibition both for us and the country, first of all. We have lost many partners due to the pandemic, and we are going to Germany with the support of the National Tourism Administration to acquire new partners, develop new connections and further promote Georgia", - Ia Gedevanishvili stated.
In 2019, prior to the global pandemic, ITB Berlin hosted 10,000 exhibitors from 181 countries. The exhibition had 160 thousand visitors. About 5,000 media representatives covered the event.
