Mikheil Saakashvili's lawyer Shota Tutberidze spoke to journalists after the ex-president had visited the Rustavi Prison.
According to him, Mikheil Saakashvili plans to apply extreme forms of protest unless his requirements are met before the end of January.
"Mikheil Saakashvili's position is as follows: if his demands are not met in time and he does not receive proper medical treatment within the month of January, he will resort to an extreme form of protest and start a hunger strike. The requirements are supplemented with proper medical treatment, and all other requirements remain in force," - said Shota Tutberidze.
Ex-president Saakashvili has presented the government with two requirements: providing him with an independent team of doctors and ensuring full restoration of communication. The latest date for fulfilling the two requirements was 6 January.
