
“The first month of Georgia’s foreign trade in vegetables and fruits in 2023 was marked by several important changes at the same time. In the nut segment, imports of almonds, greens, frozen garden strawberries and dates increased. In the fruit segment, a decrease in pomegranate exports was observed. As for cauliflower and broccoli, an increase in imports in January 2023 was recorded along with an increase in exports of these products,” - Eastfriuot writes.
The first month of Georgia’s foreign trade in vegetables and fruits was marked by the following changes - taking into account the demand for imported cauliflower and broccoli, wholesale companies managed to increase the import of these products.
Therefore, in January 2023, 616 tons of vegetables were imported into the country. As in previous years, almost the entire volume was supplied from Turkey. Besides, January turned out to be successful for Georgian exporters of broccoli and cauliflower. In the first month of 2023, 92 tons of these products were sold in foreign markets, mainly (81 tons) in Armenia.
