“The First Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Giorgi Khanishvili met with the Head of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) John Pannell and the Director of the USAID Georgia Economic Growth Office Director Marika Olson,” - the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia reports.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of continuing the Plant Safety System Initiative program developed to strengthen the National Food Agency and the prospects of future cooperation.
Giorgi Khanishvili thanked the American government and the US Agency for International Development for many years of cooperation and drew attention to the importance of the support provided to the National Food Agency.
John Pannell spoke at length about the importance of partnership and friendly relations between the countries and focused on the continuation of cooperation.
According to Marika Olson, the goal of the International Development Agency of the United States of America is the Georgian products to compete with the ones presented on the international markets as much as possible; Marika Olson expressed her willingness to cooperate in this direction.
