
In 2022, under the conditions of increased exports of Georgia, the rate of sale of goods in the direction of Kazakhstan has increased significantly. In annual terms, the country earned $238 million from exports to Kazakhstan, which is 147% higher than the figure of 2021.
According to official statistics, last year Kazakhstan ranked eighth among Georgia's top ten trading partners by exports with a share of 4.3%.
It is noteworthy that the trade turnover of Georgia-Kazakhstan increased by 136% last year, totaling $274 million 564 thousand. From the statistics, it can be seen that 86.7% of the main share in trade relations is export, and the rest - 13.3% is import. Accordingly, Georgia has a positive trade balance with Kazakhstan.
In the reporting period, the main export goods in this direction were light vehicles, which are fully re-exported. The number of cars exported from Georgia to Kazakhstan has increased almost 5 times compared to the 2021 figure. During this period, the export of cigars and cigarillos increased significantly, and the export of mineral waters also doubled.
