As of September 2025, Georgia’s vehicle fleet totaled 1.9 million, with 125,400 new cars registered in the first nine months of the year, according to a TBC Capital report.
Gasoline-powered vehicles make up 64% of the total fleet, followed by diesel (23%), hybrids (12%), and electric cars (1%). Most hybrid models still rely mainly on gasoline.
After a decline in 2024, new car registrations are rising again. The share of gasoline vehicles among new registrations has grown steadily—from 39% in 2019 to 56% in 2024—while the shares of diesel and hybrid cars have decreased, signaling a market shift back toward gasoline models.
